Gumi, AKA Megpoid, is a Vocaloid made by Internet Co. Ltd! Since she isn't a Cryptonloid, that's why she tends to be missing from some lineups. Her voice provider is Megumi Nakajima, which is where she gets her name. She's been on the market ever since 2009.

Originally she didn't do too well. Can you imagine sleeping on this? She's got like 50 voicebanks now so that shows how long her stint in the unpopular club was.

Nowadays, Gumi has slowly climbed up to being one of the most popular vocaloids, constantly sought after for her versatile voicebanks and soft but strong tone!

Like most people, when I was a kid and Vocaloid was fresh, I only really knew Miku, Rin and Len, etc. I found out about Gumi on complete accident! The first Gumi song I ever heard was Magi Koi~ Five Minutes Before It Falls In Love during a free trial of Apple Music of all things. It just came up on the radio, and she didn't sound like any of the others! I loved how friendly and gentle her voice was in the song, and I looked into more and more. She's been my favorite since, and that was... Damn, 2013? 2014? Point is, she's special! I'm glad I found her by complete chance all that time ago.
